Terms of service
Effective date: June 18, 2026. Last updated: June 18, 2026.
These terms outline Grasshopper Go’s marketplace rules for customers, independent Grasshoppers, bookings, payments, cancellations, disputes, insurance requirements, and prohibited work.
Marketplace role
Grasshopper Go is a platform that helps customers request yard work and independent Grasshoppers offer services. Grasshoppers are independent contractors, not Grasshopper Go employees. Grasshopper Go may provide software, payment facilitation, support workflows, and marketplace rules.
Allowed and prohibited work
Grasshopper Go is intended for lightweight yard care such as mowing, trimming, weeding, cleanup, and similar non-permitted tasks. Grasshopper Go does not support tree removal, heavy machinery, permitted work, hazardous work, structural work, major landscaping demolition, or tearing up yards.
Grasshopper insurance and eligibility
Grasshopper Go does not provide insurance for Grasshopper services. Grasshoppers must maintain their own active insurance, provide proof requested by Grasshopper Go, and keep any required workers' compensation, license, permit, or exemption information current. Grasshopper Go may restrict paid-job access until insurance and eligibility information is reviewed. Customers and Grasshoppers may not waive this requirement inside or outside the app.
Bookings, payments, and payouts
- Grasshoppers set their own offer prices.
- Customers authorize payment through Stripe before work starts.
- Grasshopper Go may hold, capture, refund, or route funds according to job status, support review, and payment rules.
- Grasshopper payouts depend on Stripe Connect onboarding, verified insurance, completed work, support holds, and marketplace rules.
Cancellations, disputes, and safety
Customers and Grasshoppers must use Grasshopper Go support for no-shows, access issues, incomplete work, refunds, property concerns, safety incidents, and disputes. Grasshopper Go may pause payouts, request evidence, restrict accounts, or cancel jobs when needed to protect users or the marketplace.
Off-platform conduct
Users may not evade Grasshopper Go payments, solicit off-platform payment for Grasshopper Go bookings, abuse other users, misrepresent work, request prohibited services, submit false evidence, or misuse private job information.
