Privacy policy
Effective date: June 18, 2026. Last updated: June 18, 2026.
This policy explains how Grasshopper Go collects, uses, shares, and protects information for its Bay Area pilot marketplace connecting customers and independent Grasshoppers.
Information we collect
Account information. Name, email, optional phone number, role, profile details, service area, and account settings.
Job information. Yard address, pilot area, requested services, schedule, scope notes, access details, uploaded job photos/videos, completion photos/videos, and reviews.
Route location. If a Grasshopper starts route sharing for an accepted booking, Grasshopper Go may collect precise device location briefly for route progress, auto-arrival, customer safety visibility, and support review. Exact route sharing stops after arrival/work start, cancellation, completion, dispute hold, or another terminal job state. Worker route/GPS trail data is retained for about 90 days after route sharing ends, then deleted.
Payment and payout state. Booking amount, payment authorization, capture, refund, payout, dispute, and Stripe account identifiers. Card details are handled by Stripe.
Support information. Support requests, chat messages, dispute evidence, admin notes, safety reports, cancellation reasons, and audit logs.

- Camera is requested only if camera capture or card scanning is enabled.
- Precise Grasshopper location is requested only for accepted-booking route sharing and is not used for background or off-job tracking.

Grasshopper Go verifies account deletion requests, reviews open bookings and required retention records, then removes or de-identifies account personal data eligible for deletion within 30 days. Account deletion includes removal of route/GPS location trails associated with the account after verification and required retention review.
Worker route/GPS trail data is retained for about 90 days after route sharing ends, then deleted.
