Community guidelines
Effective date: June 29, 2026. Last updated: June 29, 2026. Version: 1.0.
These Guidelines apply to everyone who uses Grasshopper Go, including customers and independent Grasshoppers, and to everything posted or shared through the app.
Eligibility and acceptance
Grasshopper Go connects homeowners with lawn-and-yard-care providers. You must be at least 18 years old to use Grasshopper Go. The service is a contracting and payments marketplace and is not available to minors. You may not create an account for, or allow your account to be used by, anyone under 18.
When you create an account, you accept these Guidelines and the Terms of Service before you can post or share content. Grasshopper Go has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users.
Zero-tolerance standard
Objectionable content means any content or conduct prohibited by these Guidelines. When Grasshopper Go detects or is notified of objectionable content or abusive conduct, we may remove the content, suspend or permanently terminate the responsible account immediately and without prior notice, and report unlawful conduct to law enforcement.
Zero tolerance describes the standard we apply when we act; it is not a promise that we monitor or pre-screen every item of content.
Prohibited content and conduct
You may not post, send, upload, share, or engage in conduct on Grasshopper Go that includes any of the following.
Immediate removal and account ban
- Sexual or pornographic content, nudity, sexual solicitation, or sexual advances directed at another user.
- Child sexual abuse material or any sexualization of a minor. We report this content to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and law enforcement as required by law.
- Threats of violence, harassment, stalking, intimidation, bullying, or repeated unwanted contact.
- Hate speech or attacks based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, age, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or another protected characteristic.
- Illegal activity, including illegal services, drugs, weapons, or unlawful transactions.
- Fraud, scams, payment fraud, chargeback abuse, fake bookings, fake reviews, or misrepresenting who you are.
- Sharing another person’s private information, including using property photos to identify, locate, surveil, or harass someone.
- Sexually intrusive, voyeuristic, or non-consensual imagery, including photographing people, the inside of a home, or private areas without consent.
- Solicitation or grooming of minors, or attempting to arrange in-person contact for a prohibited purpose.
Other prohibited conduct
- Impersonation of another person, business, or Grasshopper Go.
- Spam, unsolicited advertising, or off-topic promotion.
- Posting content you do not have the right to share.
- Fake, retaliatory, incentivized, or undisclosed-connection reviews.
- Misuse of in-app messaging, including abusive language, harassment, or unwanted media.
- Misleading or intrusive photos, including unrelated job images or deceptive before-and-after photos.
- No-shows, dishonest completion claims, or misrepresenting work performed.
- Circumventing safety features, including creating a new account to evade a block, suspension, or ban.
- Arranging or completing a Grasshopper Go-matched job off platform to avoid fees or safeguards.
- On-property misconduct, including unsafe behavior, theft, property damage, trespassing, or entering areas without permission.
Filtering, reporting, and blocking
Grasshopper Go may screen content to keep objectionable content off the platform, including automated text filtering and image screening. Content flagged by these filters may be blocked, held for review, or removed. Automated filtering is not perfect and does not replace reporting tools.
If you see content or behavior that violates these Guidelines, report it. Messages, photos, reviews, profiles, and job posts include report options inside the app. You can also email Trust & Safety at support@grasshoppergo.com.
Reports are confidential. Grasshopper Go reviews reports and aims to act within 24 hours by removing violating content and suspending or banning responsible users where warranted. Bad-faith reports made to harass another user are themselves a violation.
You can block another user from their profile or conversation. Blocking stops future messaging, contact, booking, and matching with that user. Please also report serious violations so our team can review and act.
Consequences and appeals
Depending on severity and history, Grasshopper Go may remove content, issue a warning, limit account features, temporarily suspend an account, permanently terminate an account, or ban a user from the platform. Zero-tolerance violations can result in immediate removal and permanent termination without prior notice.
Termination does not relieve you of obligations already owed, including payment, payout, refund, chargeback, or indemnification obligations. Grasshopper Go may preserve and disclose content and account information as required by law or to protect users, the marketplace, or the public.
If you believe Grasshopper Go removed your content or actioned your account in error, email support@grasshoppergo.com with your account details and the reason you believe the action was mistaken.
Privacy, intellectual property, and changes
How Grasshopper Go collects, uses, retains, and discloses personal information is described in the Privacy Policy. We retain content and account information only for the limited periods described there or as required by law.
If you believe content on Grasshopper Go infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, email support@grasshoppergo.com with identification of the work, the content location, your contact information, and a good-faith statement that you are authorized to act.
We may update these Guidelines from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you and may require you to accept the updated Guidelines before continuing to use Grasshopper Go.
